One of my old friends lives in Santa Maria and last winter while she was on vacation, part of her house caught fire. She had a lot of replacing and repairing to do and asked if I could help. Since the carpet was burnt, she decided she wanted the carpet in the entire house replaced. We went shopping and got a lot of carpet samples and eventually decided on one. I went the store last month to go shopping and one of the things I purchased was motor oil. I got my stuff home and set it all down in the living room and started putting the stuff away. I love the beach. I have an Aunt that lives in Santa Maria, and I take my annual trip to go see her and visit the beach. Last time I was down she was having a cup of red wine and reading a book while I was catching up on some email. I heard her cry out and looked over to see her wine cup spilled over and red wine pooling around it.

My friend is having her first baby this summer. Her house currently has tile in her entire house. After discussing it with many other moms, she decided to have carpet installed for the baby. Last month I went to look at a house in Porterville for a rental house. I walked in and saw that the carpet was in dire need of cleaning, but other than that the house was in good shape. This winter we decided that we were going to remodel the floor in our house. The carpet was nearly 15 years old. We love do-it-yourself projects and figured we’d attempt to install it ourselves. Last week when I went to my parent’s house in Hanford they decided to have a big dinner that night. On the menu was some BBQ chicken and all the fixings. My friend went on vacation to the east coast and needed someone to watch her dog, so I offered to let her dog stay at my house. What I didn’t realize was that her dog wasn’t fully potty trained. To make a long story short, I had urine stains everywhere by the time she got back. When she took her dog home, I called a Hanford carpet cleaning company to see if they could come out and shampoo my carpets. They were able to come out the next day and shampooed the carpet in my entire house. The urine stains are gone and my house smells fresh and clean again. I should probably think twice about letting un-potty trained animals stay at my house next time!
