One of my friend’s works at a local hardware store here in Turlock. I told him out I was purchasing carpet and was going to attempt to install it myself. He asked me if I have ever done it before or know how to do it. I told him “no” and that I planned to learn along the way. He told me that there are many great do-it-yourself jobs, but installing carpet is not one of them. He stated how it could shorten the life of the carpet and look very unprofessionally done if not done correctly. He listed all the tools I would need and that I should contact a Turlock carpet installer just to check on prices before I went crazy installing the carpet.
I took his advice and got a few quotes from different Turlock carpet installers. One of them was really cheap and I realized it wouldn’t benefit me in any way to do it myself after all the time it would take me and all the tools I’d need to rent and buy. The carpet installer installed my carpet and it looks great—way better than I could have ever done. I am so relieved I didn’t attempt to do it myself.
